4 unit in-person CEU - Cultural Awareness
for CNA Certification Renewal
Objectives:
· Explain why cultural sensitivity is important for CNAs.
· Describe the role of the CNA in providing culturally sensitive care.
· Identify how the CNA can increase personal cultural awareness.
· Describe situations that involve cultural conflicts.
Upon completion, you will obtain a certificate with a CDPH NAC # at the end of class- to use for your renewal submission.

CDPH Requirements - Please read carefully
CNA certificates must be renewed every two (2) years.
- You will need (48) hours of In-Service Training/CEUs within your most recent certification period.
- A minimum of twelve (12) of the forty-eight (48) hours shall be completed in each year of the two (2) year certification period.
- A maximum of twenty-four (24) of the forty-eight (48) hours may be obtained only through a CDPH-approved online computer training program listed on our website.
HHAs certificates must be renewed every two (2) years.
- You will need twenty-four (24) hours of In-Service Training/Continuing Education Units (CEUs) within your two (2) year certification period.
- A minimum of twelve (12) of the twenty-four (24) hours shall be completed in each year of the two (2) year certification period.
- HHAs cannot complete CEUs online.
Los Angeles Skills Academy is an approved IN-PERSON CEU Provider by the California Department of Public Health.
You may obtain all your CEU (48, CNA and 24, HHA) from us.
NAC Provider # will be provided in your certificate for submission to Dept of Health and for your records
